Bichon Poo (Poochon) Puppies at the
Anderson's Farm

Mollie and her five Puppies

Bichon Poos
All Puppies in this Litter are Sold
but Mollie has a new litter Available

Designer  Puppies (This Page)

This is our first litter of Bichon Poos, and we have been surprised at how cute and affectionate these puppies are.  They seem to thrive on human attention.  When I walk into the puppy room they all come running over with tails wagging.  When I leave, they cry.  I know they will make the perfect companion to someone who will share their love with one of these wonderful puppies.  It will be hard to see them go.  As they have gotten older, they have become much more playful.

Dame:  Mollie   CKC registered Bichon Frise.  She is about 11 lbs, so is small for a Bichon.  Mollie is our first Bichon Frise, and it has been instant love.  She is the consummate lap dog.  She will sit with us for hours, and almost never complains.  It is a rare event when she barks or growls.  She has been an excellent mother.

Sire:  Casper  CKC registered toy poodle, White, about 7 lbs.  He is a well proportioned toy poodle with a wonderful coat.  He is all business, and has a reputation for producing excellent puppies.  This is our first litter with him, but came to us as an experienced stud.

Puppies:  Five puppies in the litter, all about the same size.  I expect that they will be between 11 and 13 lbs.  All are pure white and have the thick, soft Bichon fur.  There are four guys and one gal.  Born February 04, 2007 in the middle of the night.  They will be ready sometime after of March 24 (seven weeks).   We do like to keep the puppies beyond six weeks to give the mother time to finish training them.  The Bichon Poos seem to mature a little bit slower than Poodles.

Mollie lives on our back porch and comes in to watch TV at night.  She has her own dog door to the puppy room in our house.    We handle the puppies from birth and spend time with them every day.  The Bichon Poos seem to be socialized earlier and more easily than Poodles.  There are five tails waging when I just walk into the room.  They will roll over on their backs to get their tummy rubbed.  They are very people oriented and will adapt easily to their new home.  These dogs would be ideal puppies for the quiet home.  We have had good comments from people who purchased puppies from us before.

This is a very wide cross using two different Breeds.  Some people call such crosses, designer dogs.  I prefer to think of them as blended dogs with traits from both Poodles and Bichon Frise.  Bichons are uncomplicated dogs that never seem to have issues about anything.  Poodles are not so simple and are always pushing their limits.  The Bichon Poos retain the Bichon sweetness, wonderful coat, and need to please.  Poodle brings increased intelligence and curiosity to the puppies.  Poodles and Bichons probably had the same ancestors when early breeds were being established, so the cross is logical.  I have written a section about genetic defects in dogs and why interbreed crosses  are a good way to get a puppy free of defects.

All the puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee.  They have had their dewclaws removed.  The tails were not docked, as this is the custom with Bichons.  They are current on their deworming (weekly) and vaccinations (starting at 6 weeks).

This is Cotton, a pure white Bichon Poo.  He is 5 pounds at 10 weeks and will probably get to about 11 pounds
grown.  He is the smallest male in the litter.   In the picture on the left he is six weeks old  and on the right and
below, 10 weeks.  Below are more pictures  of two sleepy dogs.  They spent the day playing and just want to take
a nap, but we had a request for more recent pictures.  The poodle in the puppies is evident in their shaved faces.
Cotton has several other Poodle traits such as a high degree of curiosity.  He even looks somewhat like a poodle.

The picture on the right (above) was taken today - 04/27 and shows Cotton on the right.  The picture below shows
the two puppies with Mollie to give some scale as to their size.

This is Sugar, a designer Bichon Poo boy.  He weighs j5 pounds at 10 weeks, so he probably will make about 11-12
pounds grown.  This is the perfect lap dog, he just love to be held.  In the picture on the left, sugar is six weeks and
on the right he is 10 week (sugar on left, cotton on right).  Below are two more pictures at 10 weeks (Sorry the dogs
are very sleepy form a long day of play)  Everyone who has seen the dogs want to take one home, the poodles do
not compete when it comes to affection.  More Bichon than poodle.
  $400.00

The two pictures below were taken today - 04/27 and show Sugar on the left.  You can see that Sugar has  more
Bichon traits in his face than Cotton.

Fluff is sold to a girl in North Atlanta.  This is Fluff.  This boy weighs 3 pounds at six weeks and probably will
max out at 13 pounds.   Has a lot of poodle traits and even looks a little like a poodle.

Sold to a couple in California - This is Snow Ball, a super sociable boy.  He weighs almost 4 pounds at six weeks,
so he may get to as much as 13 pounds grown.

He is the largest puppy in his litter.  He love to play with his litter
mates and exhibits a lot of "poodle curiosity."

Sold to a Couple in Atlanta - This is Sunshine, the only female in the whole litter.  She is a bit more shy then her brothers and a bit smaller.  I would guess she will be about 10-11 pounds grown.  She is a heartbreaker.
