Bichon Poo (Poochon) Puppies at the
Anderson's Farm

Mollie and her five Puppies From her first litter

Bichon Poos

  This is Mollie's Second Litter
NOW available

Designer  Puppies (This Page)

This is our second litter of Bichon Poos.  We originally were not going to produce Bichon Poos again, but the first litter was so wonderful we changed our mind.  These are cute  and affectionate puppies.  Betty wanted to keep one out of the last litter as her personal lab dog!   They seem to thrive on human attention.  They are either playing or sleeping.  We also has a litter of poodles the same age, so I have let them play together (eight puppies!).   Below,  River watches over two of hers and three of Mollie's puppies.

I know they will make the perfect companion to someone who will share their love with one of these wonderful puppies.  Everyone who sees one of these puppies wants one.

Puppies:  Five puppies in the litter, all about the same size.  I expect that they will be between 9 and 12 lbs.  Three are pure white and have the thick, soft Bichon fur, the other two are a very pale cream which will fade to pure white.   There are three guys and  two gals.  Born September 05, 2007.  They are six weeks old last Wednesday will be ready this weekend.   The Bichon Poos seem to mature a little bit slower than Poodles.

We have the dew claws removed by our veterinarian at 3-4 days.  The poodles also get their tails removed.  We took the puppies to the vet on a Saturday, and our regular vet was not there.  Well, to make a long story short, the Bichon Poo tails went like Poodles.  For this reason, we are discounting each dog $100.00.  They will not have the nice long tails, but it will not change their personality.

Mollie lives on our back porch and comes in to watch TV at night.  She has her own dog door to the puppy room in our house.    We handle the puppies from birth and spend time with them every day.   These dogs would be ideal puppies for the quiet home.  We have had good comments from people who purchased puppies from us before.

This is a very wide cross using two different Breeds.  Some people call such crosses, designer dogs.  I prefer to think of them as blended dogs with traits from both Poodles and Bichon Frise.  Bichons are uncomplicated dogs that never seem to have issues about anything.  Poodles are not so simple and are always pushing their limits.  The Bichon Poos retain the Bichon sweetness, wonderful coat, and need to please.  Poodle brings increased intelligence and curiosity to the puppies.  Poodles and Bichons probably had the same ancestors when early breeds were being established, so the cross is logical.  I have written a section about genetic defects in dogs and why interbreed crosses  are a good way to get a puppy free of defects.

All the puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee.  They have had their dewclaws removed.  The tails were not docked, as this is the custom with Bichons.  They are current on their deworming (weekly) and vaccinations (starting at 6 weeks).

This is Fluffy (Sold in Atlanta), a pure white Bichon Poo.  He is 2 3/4 pounds at 6 weeks and will probably get to about 10 pounds grown.  All the pictures are at six weeks.   He looks like a Bichon, with only a little poodle influence.  He is inquisitive and adventuresome, wandering out into the hallway from the bedroom.  He is quiet and likes to be held.  In the third picture below, he is the puppy in the front.  I put different colors of ribbon on the puppies in order to tell them apart.

.

This is Frosty (Sold), a designer Bichon Poo boy.  He weighs 2 1/2 lbs  pounds at 6 weeks, and is the smallest puppy in the litter.  Again, I think he probably will make it to about 10  pounds grown.  This is the perfect lap dog, he just loves to be held.    Everyone who has seen the dogs want to take one home, the poodles do  not compete when it comes to affection.

This is Snow Flake.  This boy weighs 3 pounds at six weeks and probably will  max out at 11-12 pounds.   He is the largest male in the litter, and he has a lot of poodle traits and even looks a little like a poodle.   He loves attention, and had more pictures taken than any of the other Bichon Poo Puppies.  He seem very proud of his bright purple ribbon.  $300.00

This is Crystal.  She is a little more shy and quiet  than her litter mates.  A charmer with big Bichon eyes, but a poodle face.  She weighs 2.5 pounds at six weeks,  so she may get to as much as 11 pounds grown.   You  may note that Snow Flake got herself in both pictures where there were two puppies, her bright ribbon obvious.  I did not put a ribbon on Crystal, but her sweet face makes her obvious. $350.00

This is Fancy, the other female in the  litter.  She is 3 lbs at six weeks, so the largest puppy in the litter.   I would guess she will be about 12 pounds grown.  She was particularly interested in playing with the poodles, as you can see in the pictures with Hershey.  She looks more like a Bichon than a poodle, always on the run from one adventure to the next.  She particularly liked playing with my slippers.    $350.00

The Parents:

Mollie the Dam                                                          Casper the Sire

Dame:  Mollie   CKC registered Bichon Frise.  She is about 11 lbs, so is small for a Bichon.  Mollie is our first Bichon Frise, and it has been instant love.  She is the consummate lap dog.  She will sit with us for hours, and almost never complains.  It is a rare event when she barks or growls.  However, one night she started a loud commotion that got me our of bed.  One of her puppies had gotten out of the enclosure, and she wanted me to fix it.  She has been an excellent mother.

Sire:  Casper  CKC registered toy poodle, Ice White, about 7 lbs.  He is a well proportioned toy poodle with a wonderful coat.  He is all business, and has a reputation for producing excellent puppies.  You may note we have used Casper more than any other male.  We like the personality of the puppies he produces, even if he is a little stand-off-ish himself.
