Puppies at Two Weeks

Puppies:  River had four puppies December 13, 2008.  They should be ready around January 24, 2009.  All were cream colored toys, two boys and two girls.  She was again bred to Mighty Mo, and her last litter with Mo is shown >here<.  In the picture above, the boys are on the left and the girls are on the right.  Note that Peony is a tan parti poodle (marks on head and back).  River produces small, toy poodles with Mighty Mo.

All  puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee.  They have had their tails docked and dewclaws removed.    They are current on their de-worming (Panacure every two weeks) and will get their first vaccination when they are 6 weeks old.

You can hold a puppy for $150.00.  If you are interested, please give us a call at 706-538-1003 (not a toll in Atlanta Area, do not dial 1),  (678) 836-6315 (cell phone, or email us at pups@WF-Poodle.com

Dahlia, Peony, and Hickory at four weeks.

This is Hickory (sold). He is what I call a Harlequin - White markings on his legs, chest and on top of his head (sometime into the face as in Hickory).  The base color is light tan (with a hint of gold), but that will probably fade to almost white with age,  He looks very similar to his mother when she was a puppy.  He likes to be held and cuddle up to your face.   I would guess about 6 lbs grown.  Pictures at 4 weeks.

Hickory is on the right.

This is Ash(sold) .  He is what we call a Harlequin.   He has a base color of dark tan (a dark cream color) with white markings on his chest, feet, face and top of his head.   He will retain most of his color when grown.  I would guess a toy poodle, about 6-7 lbs grown.  The little puppy is adventuresome, always wandering off from the others.   I left him for a minute and he had wandered completely out of the living room.   Pictures at 4 weeks.

Ash on the left with Dahlia his little sister.

This is Peony (sold).  She is one of the two girls in the litter.  She is almost pure white, but has a few tan markings around the ears and on her back.  These will fade to almost pure white as an adult.  The markings make her a parti poodle, which is quite a surprise to us as we had no idea that Mighty Moe had parti genes.  She just wanted to stay close when I was on the rug playing with the puppies.   I would guess a small toy 5 lbs.   Pictures at 4 weeks.

Peony on the left.

This is Dahlia (sold).  She is almost pure white in color (enough color to call her a cream, however).  I would guess a small toy 4-5 lbs.   She is very sweet natured, and quiet.  Pictures are at 4 weeks.

Dahlia is on the right in both pictures.

Dam:  River is a toy poodle of about 7 lbs.  Her color is tan cream with extensive white markings.  (we now call this Harlequin as we have seen it in several poodle litters).  She has a brown nose, so is actually a brown dog.  She stays in the house with us and has a very sweet, quiet nature.  She often sleeps between the pillows on the bed.  She and Peaches have become fast friends and she does not even chase Peaches away from her puppies.  We raise her puppies in an enclosure in the bedroom so that she can get off the bed to tend to them.

Sire:  Mighty Moe is the smallest male we have and tries hard to be 6 lbs.  He has very long legs and a sweet, but playful nature.  He stays in the house with River and Peaches.  He is a light cream color, similar to what the puppies will be when grown.  He truly is a "mighty Moe," as he produces litters from 4 to 6 puppies, all small dogs.
